About Roberta Van Norman Counselling
Hello! My name is Roberta, and I’m a Mental Health Therapist. I’ve spent the past 14 years working to support people of all ages in treatment centers, schools, and in 1 on 1 counselling. I have a Master's in Counselling Psychology and am in the process of registering as a Provisional Psychologist (it just takes a few months of patience!). I feel incredibly lucky to get to know people and support them on their own unique journeys.
I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients and take a neurodiverse-affirming, client-centered approach. That means I see you as the expert in your own life, and I want to empower you to work towards your goals and navigate the tough stuff. I’ve supported people dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I strive to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive space where you can feel heard and valued.
Outside of work, I’m a parent with my wonderful partner to a one-year-old a stepmom to a 13-year-old, and a dog-mom to my bulldog, June. I love playing guitar, snowboarding, gardening, and just hanging out with my family. When I get a rare quiet moment, you’ll find me watching Netflix or sneaking in a nap—because balance is everything, right?
I’m so happy you’re here, and I look forward to meeting you.
✨
